Liveness

Liveness is a tool that identifies whether an image has been captured live by a real person. It detects whether the person is live at the time of capturing the selfie, i.e. not trying to send a photo of another photo, a photo of a screen or a photo of a mask, reducing the risk of fraud.

The liveness technology is called SmartLive and is mandatorily associated with the SDK, whose main feature is proof of life with interaction. This means that the capture is done through the SDK, which can ask the user to perform specific actions.

How it works:

The tool has algorithms that analyze the captured image and can thus verify whether the biometric sample is a live human being or a false representation.

The operating steps of the tool are listed below:

  1. Image capture (selfie);
  2. Verification that the person was live at the time the image was captured;
  3. Sending the .JWT image and CPF to the client.
